The Alamo

While my parents were in town, we decided to leave the kids with our friends for the afternoon and go check out the Alamo in San Antonio. We had never been there before, and it was a lot different than we thought. It is right downtown San Antonio in the middle of all the big buildings, and the actual Alamo is a lot smaller than you would think. (And nope Pee-Wee, there's no basement.)

After we checked out the grounds, we headed over to the Riverwalk. It was crazy how hot the weather was, then when you walk down the stairs and it is like 20 degrees cooler along the river. It was pretty cool, now I can check two more Texas touristy sites off of my list!
