Boston has been counting down the days until his first Pinewood Derby. It was so fun to watch Travis and Boston design and work on the car, aka The Red Baron. This year our Bishop asked that the Derby not be a competition and just focus on good sportsmanship. I think at first, the boys were disappointed that there wouldn't be winners and that they wouldn't get place ribbons, but it turned out great! The boys were genuinely excited for each other and still were able to track their times and make as many improvements on their cars as they wanted. It was a lot of fun! The boys all received a certificate at the end of the races and it was all smiles!
The face painting, coloring, nacho bar and endless cookies kept these two busy.
It's so fun to watch the Dad's be just as into it as the boys.
