This week has been one of those weeks.... Travis left to go out of town last Sunday, and like usual, I was preparing for it to just be me and the kids for the week. Well, on Monday morning I decided to be domestic and make raspberry jam and zuchinni bread. I successfully finished making the jam and was washing some dishes before I started on the bread. The kids were eating a snack at the counter when, all of the sudden I started to feel really nauseated and light headed. I remember starting to walk to the couch to sit down, and then it all went dark. I came to, and my kids were both at my side screaming and crying. According to Boston's reinactment and the bruises I have, I ran into the kitchen table and then passed out cold on the hardwood floor. It was pretty scary! I have never really had anything like that happen before. Boston kept asking me if we needed to call an ambulance, but I was finally be able to reassure him that I was ok. I talked to my doctors and they said I really need take it easy, which is super hard for me. The baby is fine, and has been moving around like crazy, so that was definitely a relief.
When I got ahold of Trav he immediately told me he was flying home. I tried to tell him we'd be ok, but it in reality I was very thankful he was on his way back. He got home and has been a great help with the kids, and we have actually been able to work on a bunch of things for our house that have been on our list for a while.
This week it was "Dads and Donuts" at Boston's school. Since Trav was supossed to be gone Boston asked his Uncle Dave if he could stand in for "Dad" which was so nice. We love Uncle Dave, but Boston was super excited to have Travis home to be with him at school, he has been talking about it ALL week long.
We also headed up to Park City and Trav took the kids on the Alpine Slides. I got to do a little shopping at the outlets and we ate at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants Baja Cantina. Then of course we had to stop at Granny's in Heber and grab a shake on the way home. Travis has been so busy at work, things are going great with his company and sometimes it is definitely a sacrifice to have him gone. This week I have been so thankful to have him in here and to spend time together as a family!
