Well it's been just over a month since Boston started kindergarten and I have to say he is loving every minute of it. It makes me so happy to see that he is so excited about school and everything that he is learning. Since Bosty has been in preschool I have kept scrapbooks of his fun little art projects and papers. He loves to get them out and look at all of them.
Since kindergarten has started we have been doing the same thing. Little did I know that the papers and art projects never end, so instead of keeping everything, Boston picks some of his favorites to keep in his book. When he came home wearing the elephant mask during "E" week he had a hard time parting with it, so I told him we could take a picture of him wearing it and put it in his book so he would always remember it. I love this picture because even though his face and cute smile are hidden by the mask, you can tell by his eyes that he is totally cheesing it in the picture. Oh, I love this boy!

that is so cute! Yes, I've been taking pictures of my favorites of Drew's as well. I know that at age 3, half of the projects he is not doing alone anyway but as they progress, I'll keep a few. But pictures are the way to go! :)

Cute. Caleb comes home with tons of stuff from pre-school everyday. That is a great idea to photograph him and just save that instead of the whole mask/hat. That should work perfect for the fireman's hat he came home in yesterday!

That is adorable. And Drew just got out of bed and was here looking over my shoulder at it...he was laughing pretty hard! Good for you for keeping track of his projects...good idea.

That is hilarious and was definitely worth the picture! Just enjoy all the fun stuff they do in kindergarten, because we are finding out that they don't do nearly as much of it in 1st grade!

Great Idea Lindsey. I still have a box of Christmas projects that the girls did, I just can't part with it and as you well know I have had some of them for a long time, but they are my "Christmas Treasures!"

I think that is a great idea for keeping the memories of the art projects without the bulk. I love the mask - very clever.

So would I be rude in saying I first thought Boston was wearing a KKK hat? But it was right after, did I think of the elephant. lol

He is so darn cute! I use to keep every art project and then finally I realized they don't every end. I now take pictures or keep just the very best stuff in a file I have for each kid. What I really love is the writing the kids do! Love the elephant!

Hey Lindsey. It's your cousin, Jenny. I found you on Jodi's blog. Just saw that you are pregnant, so congrats! And your kids are SO stinkin' cute. Can't believe you have a kindergartner.
