Our kids have been soooo.......excited for Pirate Island to open. My SIL's family owns it, so every time we were at Costco or the mall, they made sure we drove by to see if it was open yet. Finally, last week it opened and we headed over there to check it out. They were only seating half the restaurant, so the wait was like an hour, but while we waited our kids played around in the arcade. If you are wondering, it is like Chuck E Cheese on steroids, and decorated to the hilt in pirate garb. The food was just alright, but you go for the atmosphere and the kids, right? And the kids did have a ton of fun plus they loved all the pirate loot they scored too.

Samuel has been eyeing that place too! I told him we would maybe check it out when we get back from vacation in a couple of weeks. Maybe the wait won't be so long by then.
I can't believe it is fianlly open! What fun!
Cool. We will have to check it out. I have been wondering what it was all about.
