"Heavenly Father has assigned us to a great variety of stations to strengthen and, when needed, lead travelers to safety. Our most important and powerful assignments are in the family. They are important because the family has the opportunity at the start of a child's life to put feet firmly on the the path home."
-President Henry B. Eyring
I love this quote from General Conference! The past few weeks, I have been thinking a lot about how my kids will "turn out" as they get older. There were so many great talks in conference that stood out to me, about raising our children to be strong and immovable and preparing them for the challenges they will face. I feel so blessed to be a mom and be trusted to take care of these three beautiful and amazing children.
Today I was flipping through pictures of the kids on my iPhone and saw how they showed each of their different personalities. All of our kids are SO different, which is challenging at times, but I love it!
I love taking pictures and journaling about them as they grow up. We love to look back through the pictures to see how they change and grow, even though they seem to be growing up way too fast!
Boston has always been a really good kid. He has his moments, but for the most part he is really obedient and very honest about everything.
Boston loves school, he wakes up bright eyed at 7:00am every morning without a complaint to hurry and get ready for school. He loves his teacher and class in Texas. I am super impressed with the schools here too. They are a lot further ahead than his class was in Utah. Boston has been working so hard and it amazes me how he doesn't let it get him down, but pushes him further to try even harder and learn more.
He is such a good friend to everyone and is always concerned about others feelings. We have had a lot of talks lately about being a good example to all of his friends who are not members and being a missionary.
Boston is also such a great big brother and is always there to help me with Savy and Colston.
Savannah- If I had to describe Savannah in one word, it would be "spunky."This girl is full of it, in every way! She is constantly performing, with or without a microphone. She loves to dance, sing, and make-up her own TV shows/commercials. She is not shy at all and makes friends wherever we go. She is always into everything, even as a four year old. Perfect example: tonight, way past bedtime, she came down in full barbie make-up to sneak a piece of licorice from the pantry, like nothing was the matter. We sometimes wonder where she came from, but both of our parents have told us the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. Savy is my little sidekick and keeps us laughing everyday.
Colston is a pretty good mix of Boston and Savannah, so far. He will always be our little baby, all 25 stocky pounds of him. He is pretty chill and has always gone with the flow, without any complaints. He loves to cuddle and give elephant kisses. He carries around his blankies with him wherever we go. I love that he still takes two great naps everyday and goes to bed promptly at 7:30pm and still sleeps in. He is a human garbage disposal. I mean none of our kids are picky, but this kid would eat 24/7 if I let him get away with it.Colston is into everything!!! After not having a baby in the house for a few years, I am still getting used to the fact that nothing stays intact in our house very long with this little bug around. He only says a few words, just mimics what we say and screams loudly to try and let us know what he wants.
Colston melts our hearts with his thick wavy hair, cheesy smile and "Hi's" and "Bye's."
(P.S- These cute Batman jammies were worn by my sisters boys and handed down to Boston. I love that they still have lots of life in them and fit Colsty.)

So I seem to remember a little girl-teenager who used to like to sing and dance and make up plays and radio-tv shows, I think that was part of the Cousins Clud or something like that, seems the apple doesn't fall from the tree.
