{summer so far....}

Every year we make a "bucket list" of all of the things we want to do over the summer break. I knew this past week was going to be crazy busy packing up the house, but we took some time to cross some things off our list.

We fed the ducks...or chased them in Colston's case.

We tried a few yummy snow cone places.

(Boston's fave=tigers blood, Savy's fave= wedding cake and bubble gum)

We spent lots of time outside with friends. We are sure going to miss this neighborhood! There is always a crew of kids outside to play with and my kiddos have some great friends.

We went to Krispie Kreme and cashed in on our report card donuts. Yum!

We went to see Kung Fu Panda 2 one day and then another day Grammy invited us over to watch a movie in the theater room at her house. Savannah picked her favorite, "Never Say Never" (We can't get enough of the Bieb's around here.)

One not so planned event, was actually a really scary one. On Friday, we had been home for no more than five minutes and the kids went out to ride their bikes, Savy came running inside screaming, "Boston needs your help, Boston needs your help." I'll spare you the gorey pictures, but I ran outside to find Boston covered head to toe in blood. He was riding his bike, swerved and his front tire popped off and he landed head first in the street, with no helmet on. (Lesson learned!!!)

I left the other two kids with a neighbor and rushed Boston in to our pediatricians office. (So glad that they are able to do stitches and x-rays in the office and can always get us right in to see a doctor.)

I knew he was going to need stitches on his forehead, so the doc took care of that, then cleaned all of his wounds. His wrists were really hurting, but luckily they were just sprained and not broken. He looks like he was in a major MMA fight, and has been taking it easy this weekend.

Boston has had so many treats, notes, phone calls and cards from everyone and it has made him feel so loved!

It's going to take a while for him to heal and it's been so hard for my active boy to just "chill."

As sad as Boston looks with his poor cuts and scrapes, on face especially, we really are so lucky that he is okay!

Looks like non-stop fun so far! Can't wait to see you in July! I am so glad Boston is doing better! The picture of him was the saddest thing ever!

I can't believe you're gone again. It was really just a blink of an eye and a bad tease.

I will be better about keeping up on your blog!
