A few weeks ago I had the chance to go to the Gladys Knight and the Saints Unified Choir concert with some ladies from my ward. The concert was held at an LDS church in Austin and it was p.a.c.k.e.d. We were lucky enough to get there right in time to jump in line with some friends.
Gladys and her choir travel all over the country performing this concert. I don't think any of us knew what to expect, and it was quite the night. It was full of lots of "Hallelujahs and Amens" from the congregation. It was a new experience to be dancing and clapping in the chapel. To add to it we were seated right in front of the interpreter, he was so animated and provided lots of entertainment during the concert.
Before the concert we went to eat at Texas Land & Cattle. which was delish! It was a great Girls Night Out!
