Lately, it seems like things have been pretty busy and entertaining around the Fitch house. Time is winding down until baby #3 joins our family and we have been working on project after project to get ready for this little guy, who's name is still undecided, to arrive.

Last Sunday night we had just gotten home from a yummy Sunday dinner at Bob & Kathie's and we were trying to get the kids to settle down for bed. Boston was jumping on our bed and fell and smacked his head on the lamp on our nightstand. Next thing you know his shirt is COVERED in blood and he is bawling his eyes out. He managed to get a pretty bad gash and it would not stop bleeding. So, Trav and Uncle Brian rushed Boston over to the Instacare, which was thankfully still open, and Boston was numbed up and given 5 staples in the back of his head. I knew this moment had to come sooner or later with two very active kids, and we are glad Boston has healed well so far and is ok. He has been super careful and gets the stapels removed on Monday.

Onto child number two. Oh, Savannah.... Miss Attitude, what are we going to do with you? She is growing up so fast and we can hardly believe she will be three soon. We have been really working on potty training her the past few weeks, so she can move into her cute new big girl room instead of sleeping in the crib in the nursery. She has her days when she does so well, and then the next day she wants nothing to do with it. I am getting super frustrated mainly because it took Boston like one day to get the hang of it, and he seriously has never had an accident since. Savannah is really funny that way because she is so in her own little world, she likes to do what she wants when she wants. (An insight into why her Dad and brother call her Princess!!!)
My patience is growing thin with this one, but I really would love her to be completely potty trained before the new baby arrives too. Any advice on this would be appreciated!!!

Lastly, a birthday shout out to our many family members who have October Birthdays....Kailee, Mom, Dad, Megan and Denny. While Trav was out of town the kiddies and I took Megan to Pizza Factory to celebrate her big day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Poor Boston. I hope that the staples come out smoothly on Monday. I have absolutely no potty training tips...but it sounds super frustrating so I will sympathize with you! Good luck figure out baby #3's name. I am sure you will come up with something cute that fits him since Boston and Savannah are both great names.
Feel badly for Boston, what a headache. Hope you are doing OK. No hints on the potty training sorry no experience- hmmm wonder where the independence comes from:):):)
thanks for the b-day shout out! It was so fun to get to hang out with you guys! I'm so sad about Bosty's little head :( What a trooper though. And of course, Savy is adorable! love you guys!! (I can't wait for baby Louis.)
I am amazed that you haven't experienced "stitches" before, poor Boston, it is such a scarey experience for all. I'll have to think back for tips, it has been awhile, mostly they do it when they are good and ready and that is the key and everyone is different even if they are the same sex!
We have been just waiting to see the picture of the staples. See why I love bloggin!! You just have to love these two! What will number three be like??Ummmmmm Savy will get it! She is so smart! Just hang in there!!!I'm so sorry Bosty!
Oh shoot! poor Boston, I hate it when stuff like that happens, I usually end up freaking out being the drama queen that I am and freak the child out worse. BUt as for the potty training, I am no expert, but i hesitated doing it for a whole year, than finally my sister in law said, "it will be 2 hard weeks, they will have accidents, go cold turkey (except for at night) and put them in underwear, not pull ups and expect accidents and after 2 wks, they should have it down." Well so the first 3 days were tough and than she got it down and no more problems. It is so worth it, just picture the finale and than just go for it! Good luck!
Oh, poor Boston. I am sorry he got so hurt.
As far as the potty training goes, I think you can only do so much. They will do it when they are ready. Now that is not to say that you shouldn't talk about it and reward her when she does it, but I don't think they should be pushed too much. We pushed Caleb and he pushed right back. He got a few months older and it was so much more successful. good luck!
Poor Boston. I wish I had advice for you but I am not a mommy yet and have no idea about that stuff!
ouch poor Boston. I am glad he was ok. I have no hints on potty training. For some reason my boys did it in two days.LOL Sorry:( and they say that girls are easyer to do than boys......
