Leaving Utah has been really hard for me. I still get a little teary every time I think about all my friends and family up there. Leaving a place where I was totally in my comfort zone, with everything I have grown-up with and become accustomed to. I never really thought we would move out of state, but when you know a decision is the right one to make, it is hard to fight it.
So, here we are in our new home. The moving truck made it here, along with all our stuff and with minimal damage. (Whew...I was real worried about that one!)
I am starting to get used to everything around here as things have settled down a bit. Our house is all put together for the most part, we just have a few things to hang here and there. I love the neighborhood and the area we live in. There are always kids outside playing, we have nice neighborhood parks and great running trails. Plus, the weather here is gorgeous! I am trying to get my bearings straight, and learning my way around. My GPS has been my best friend lately, or I would be totally lost most of the time.
I'll keep you all posted on how we are adjusting. I have had lots of requests for pictures of our house. So, I finally remembered to take one. For some reason, the Tahoe and tree seem to be overtaking the picture, but at least you can get an idea of what our new place looks like.

Linds...I think you will LOVE this move...there is something about being moved out of your comfort zone that makes you stretch yourself...We have made the best friends here in tennessee, it is like family.. We party too much. We love our ward and will be really sad to move.....I love your house.. Looks awesome. Yeah enjoy the weather..What part of texas are you in?
The best thing about a move like this is that you do stretch and you really feel vital in a ward, watch out you'll be put to work fast! You're house looks really nice and I can't believe that you are settled as quickly as you are. I look forward to more pictures! Moving kids at this age is pretty easy but when they get a little older is becomes much more difficult.
